In a fierce collision between a truck and a Scorpio near Sonsa village in the Rahui police station area of the district, the Scorpio driver died on the spot, while four other people were seriously injured. The injured were admitted to the Rahui Primary Health Center by the police with the help of local people, from where after first aid, all were referred to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Santosh Kewat, a resident of Bogli village in Nawada district. Santosh’s wife Sushma Devi, his son Aman Kumar, daughter Sandhya Kumari and Sneha Kumari were seriously injured in the accident.
According to eyewitnesses, the truck was going from Rahui towards Bind. Near Sonsa village, the front tyre of the truck burst and it went out of control and collided with a Scorpio coming from the front, due to which the Scorpio was completely damaged and the truck overturned in a ditch below the road. After a lot of effort, the Scorpio driver and other people were taken out. The Scorpio driver died on the spot due to head injury.
Rahui police station in-charge Kunal Kumar said that the police has started investigating the matter. This accident happened due to the tyre blast of the Hiva.
